Summary: The Tin Roof app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no servers. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Your sound mixes and settings live only on your device. This website keeps only the standard, short-lived server logs needed to run it. If you email us, we see your email — and that's the whole list.
Tin Roof ("we," "us") makes the Tin Roof: White Noise & Sleep Sounds mobile application (the "App") and operates this website at tinroofsleep.com (the "Site"). For privacy questions, contact privacy@tinroofsleep.com.
The App is designed so that there is no personal data to collect:
Your saved mixes, presets, and settings are stored locally on your device and never leave it. Deleting the App deletes them.
tinroofsleep.com is a static website. It does not use cookies, analytics scripts, or advertising trackers. Like nearly every web server, ours records standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser user-agent, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are kept briefly, rotated automatically, and never used to profile visitors or shared with anyone except as required by law.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to keep whatever record of the conversation ordinary correspondence requires. If you ask to join the launch-notification list, we keep your address until the launch email is sent, then delete the list. You can ask us to delete your correspondence at any time by writing to privacy@tinroofsleep.com.
You download the App through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google may collect information as part of the download and update process (such as aggregated install statistics) under their own privacy policies, which we don't control. We receive only anonymous, aggregated statistics from those platforms — never anything that identifies you.
The App includes sounds intended to be played near infants by their caregivers, but it is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone — child or adult. Because the App collects nothing, no personal information about children is (or can be) gathered.
Under privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA, you have rights to access, correct, and delete personal data. Since the App holds no personal data about you, in practice these rights apply only to email correspondence with us — and we'll honor any access or deletion request promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
The most effective security measure we take is architectural: data that is never collected can never be breached, sold, or subpoenaed. The Site is served exclusively over HTTPS.
If we ever change how the App or Site handles data — for example, if a future version adds an optional online feature — we will update this policy, change the "last updated" date above, and describe the change plainly at the top. We will never quietly add tracking to a product we advertised as tracker-free.
